Hello dear ones! As you can see from the subject line, we have a new little baby! Asher was born on March 27th, 2007 at 7:29 AM. He weighed 8 lbs 9 oz and was 22 inches long. Big baby! He is gorgeous and so far a very content little one. The labor was quick and smooth, a picture perfect delivery. Yay for our Deliverer! God totally put grace on my recovery too, as it is only day 4 and I feel amazing. Here’s a quick synopsis of the labor/delivery:
Contractions started at 2 AM, and by 5:30, we were on our way to the hospital. We got into triage and found that I was already 9 cm dialated! So much for an epidural. So as soon as I was %100 effaced, they broke my water and 2 contractions later, I began to push. His head was out on the first push, and by the end of the second, I had a baby boy! Pushing only lasted about 10-13 minutes, so even though I was not at all prepared for a natural labor, God had mercy~!! He is so good. Asher was born nice and purple and a little swollen, but totally healthy and strong. He nursed great from the start, and although we’re still working on it, I have confidence that I’ll be able to completely breastfeed .
