jennandash.jpgI am feeling so blessed! Recently, the Zadok House of Prayer had a time of refreshing for 14 evenings straight! It was wonderful; the Lord showed up and rocked us all with His love. The very first night, it was the end of the Holy Revolution conference, and I was really feeling touched by the Lord, and I started weeping. I wept in intercession for my childrens’ souls, for our family’s finances, for ZHOP’s finances. It was a special time for my heart because, since I don’t get to the prayer room much, the services where the Holy Spirit moved really encouraged me. The next few nights that I got to go, I encountered the Lord in joy. I got to pray for people, and I felt the Lord’s love for them and how much joy he feels towards them. He sings over us, people! Zephaniah 3:17 says

The LORD your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Sometimes, in this season of my life, I start feeling as if I barely get to encounter the Lord (even though I know that God is always with me). So the past few weeks really did just what God intended it to do: refreshed! I feel renewed in my passion for Him again. I recognize this pattern in my life: I start out very passionate, and after time, the passion wears off, and I find that I need something to happen again that brings me back to my first Love. Throughout my entire journey with the Lord, that is how it’s always been. I wish it wasn’t that way, I wish that I could constantly be passionate. I know it is the same for everyone. There are valleys, and there are mountaintops. But I think that the Lord enjoys thrilling my heart time and again! If I didn’t pass through these seasons, I’d never know how amazing it feels to be refreshed. You know? So I am thankful that God gives me dry times, if only to make me cry out for Him to encounter my heart again.

Book recommendation: Hinds Feet on High Places. Such a good book! A great depiction of our hearts journey as the bride of Christ.

Family update: Asher is up on all fours and he really wants to crawl! He can’t even sit up on his own yet, but I can tell he’s gonna be a mover pretty soon.  He is such a happy boy! When Joel tickles him, he screams in delight.  Rowan still has so much energy and zeal for life.  He runs all over the place, and never does anything half-heartedly. He now has 11 teeth! Asher and Rowan recently got over a bout of “hand, foot and mouth disease.” That was really hard for everyone! Especially the boys, I’m sure. They’re all better now, and since then, I try really hard not to take eating and sleeping well for granted.  Joel recently recorded a CD with Jacob Ferrell called ‘rooted and grounded’. It’s a great cd!  And I  cut my hair. :)

We just had our friends from college, Betsy and Mark, visit us for 4 days. We had such fun! We feel such a connection with this couple, it’s nuts! We totally forgot to take any pictures at all, but made lots of fun memories. You should all get together with old friends sometime. Go!

By the way Betsy, yes, that steak was good.

here’s the late random picture:  It’s ryan and ember in the backyard of our house at Sheboygan

Told ya I might forget. haha! Well i dont have time to resize a pic and put it on here right now, but here’s a random fact about me:

My sister Betsy and I used to make football helmets out of construction paper and cover the walls of our bedroom with them.  We never knew any of the teammates, nor did we ever watch football. Just liked the helmets, I guess.

I decided that I am going to post a random picture from my computer on here every Friday (hopefully I’ll remember.) This should be fun! I have TONS of pictures on here, so who knows what will turn up? Maybe it’ll be one of YOU!
